In West Seattle, we enjoy a multi-ethnic and multi-economic
community made up of Filipino, Samoan, Native American and Euro-American
ancestries. We are family and laugh and tease each other easily and argue
occasionally. About twenty percent of our small congregation comes from the
streets or government assisted housing, many from High Point or Tent City. We
have historically been a home for Share/Wheel shelters for the homeless and
feeding and worshiping with the William Booth Center in central Seattle.
In
recent years we have turned our attention to our immediate neighbors, aware of
the need to upgrade our facilities and park for greater use and are working a
multi-year plan to that end. Our park is a center of life for individuals, dog
lovers, barbecues, outdoor evening movies and worship.
If you would like to connect, we would love to share hear your story, and share in a bit of life together.
